About the role
Are you passionate about food, eager to learn and ready to start an exciting career in hospitality? At Summerfield Care Home, they are looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Commis Chef to join their busy and friendly kitchen team. You will prepare and cook appetising, nutritious meals for residents, ensuring all meals are prepared safely and meet residents' nutritional and dietary needs. Duties include basic food ordering, stock monitoring, maintaining accurate records of cleaning schedules and food temperatures, and liaising with other staff members regarding meal requirements. Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety at all times is crucial. This role offers potential full-time employment upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Entry requirements
- GCSE Maths and English at grades A*-C/9-4 or Level 2 equivalent. Desired skills include communication, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, presentation, teamwork, creativity, and patience.
