About the role

This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) and the pre-delivery configuration of IT equipment. You will gain practical skills in hardware support, troubleshooting, asset management, and technical support. The role involves receiving, scanning, and recording IT assets, performing checks, supporting data sanitization, and preparing equipment for reuse, refurbishment, recycling, or shipment. You will also assist with configuring printers, multifunction devices, and other IT hardware, working from build instructions, testing equipment, and diagnosing basic issues. This varied role provides experience across IT hardware, asset lifecycle management, technical configuration, troubleshooting, and operational support within DTP's Leeds warehouse and configuration team.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths grade 4/C or above. Good communication, attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, team working, and basic IT literacy are essential. Willingness to learn and a methodical, security-conscious approach are also required.
