About the role
John Kyrle High School & Sixth Form Centre, part of The Heart of Mercia Multi-Academy Trust, is seeking an ICT Support Technician Apprentice. This role offers the opportunity to provide first-line IT support to staff and students while undertaking a Level 3 Information Communications Technician apprenticeship delivered by THE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER LTD.
Key duties include logging and resolving IT support requests, diagnosing hardware and software issues, supporting user accounts and devices, and gaining hands-on experience with experienced IT professionals. The apprenticeship program spans 22 months, including off-the-job training and coaching, leading to a nationally recognized qualification.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in technology to develop their skills, gain practical experience in an educational setting, and potentially progress within the ICT team or the wider Trust upon successful completion.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Mathematics at grade 4 or above, alongside strong communication, IT, problem-solving, and customer care skills.
