About the role
This apprenticeship aims to meet the knowledge and skills needs for IT Technicians in our local area. This course provides a structured learning route, helping to upskill an individual with a keen interest and basic ability in IT who potentially has no previous experience in this sector. Duties include acting as first contact for support calls, ensuring tickets are logged and dispatched promptly, resolving basic IT queries, and managing admin tasks such as spreadsheet and system updates. Successful completion opens possibilities to become an IT Technician or work in similar roles. The Level 4 Network Engineer programme is an ideal progression pathway for those wishing to advance to 2nd or 3rd line support roles.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English (Language or Literature) at grade 4/C and GCSE Mathematics at grade 4/C. Strong communication, IT, problem-solving, and administrative skills are essential.
