About the role
Ferryhill School is seeking a proactive Apprentice Teaching Assistant with a 'can do' approach to support pupils and teachers. The role involves assisting with pupil achievement, supporting learning for individuals and groups (including those with special needs), promoting inclusion, and working with parents. You will also support teachers by preparing resources, assisting with classroom management, and contributing to pupil progress tracking. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in education and develop your skills within the role. You will receive on-the-job training from the employer and attend Bishop Auckland College one day per week during term-time.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade 9-4 (A*-C) or Level 2, plus strong communication, IT, administrative, and teamwork skills.
