About the role
New Park Primary Academy, part of Northern Star Academies Trust in Harrogate, is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant. This role involves supporting pupils' learning, wellbeing, and development to foster an inclusive environment where every child can build confidence and reach their full potential. Key duties include supporting students' learning and development under staff direction, collaborating with teachers on tailored learning strategies, monitoring and reporting on student progress, assisting with assessments and record-keeping, and promoting student independence and positive attitudes. The position also requires supporting personal care needs where necessary, supervising students, maintaining a safe learning environment, administering first aid, and promoting safeguarding. The apprenticeship offers progression opportunities to higher qualifications or full-time employment.
Entry requirements
- GCSE Maths and English at grade 4-9 required. Strong communication, teamwork, initiative, patience, and organizational skills are essential.
