About the role

VQ Solutions is seeking a dedicated individual to join the team at Advanced Communications based at their Southern office, as a Network Cable Installer. In this varied role, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and terminating fibre and copper networks. Duties include the installation and termination of Cat6/6a and FTP Cable, single mode and multimode fibre optic installation, and the siting and installation of network cabinets. You will work with lead engineers on customer sites across various sectors, including education and food manufacturing, on data network, containment, cabinet, IPCCTV, and door access installations. Essential requirements include GCSEs in Maths and English (minimum C/4). A UK driving licence is desired. You will work towards a Level 3 Network Cable Installer Apprenticeship delivered by VQ Solutions, developing a portfolio, attending block courses, and having regular mentor reviews. Upon completion, you will be eligible to apply for full membership of the Institute of Telecommunications Professionals. Previous apprentices have progressed onto a Level 4 Network Engineer qualification.
