Project Controls Apprenticeship

About the role

As a Project Controls Apprentice at AWE, you will assist project teams in planning, monitoring, and delivering crucial work across the business. This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to develop your skills while gaining an understanding of project controls and potential career paths. You will support major programmes, infrastructure projects, and other teams essential to AWE's operations. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll build relationships and learn the fundamentals of project planning, tracking, and execution. Project controls involve ensuring projects stay on track by supporting aspects like schedules, costs, risks, changes, and reporting. The apprenticeship will involve learning about breaking down large projects, creating and checking schedules, setting baselines, measuring progress, reporting, cost forecasting, managing changes, using data for decisions, and utilizing technical information. The program includes an induction, project placements with mentor support, and study towards a degree-level apprenticeship.

Entry requirements

• 5 GCSEs (inc. English & Maths at grade 4/C or above), and A-level/T-level/BTEC at grade C or above in any subject.
