About the role
As an Electrical Engineering (Facilities & Equipment) Degree Apprentice at AWE PLC, you will gain hands-on experience maintaining and improving the electrical systems that keep critical facilities and equipment operational and safe. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, compliance, and future readiness of electrical infrastructure, including power supplies, lighting, alarms, and monitoring systems. You will work alongside experienced engineers, learning about asset lifecycle management, fault investigation, electrical safety, and regulatory compliance in a highly regulated environment. The apprenticeship offers practical experience in various electrical engineering aspects and exposure to a wide range of equipment and systems. Upon completion, opportunities exist for progression into senior technical or leadership roles within electrical engineering.
Entry requirements
- GCSE Maths, English and Science Grade 4/C or above. A Level Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Statistics, IT BBC or BCC. T Level Merit Engineering and Manufacturing. BTEC DDM.
