This Operations Apprenticeship at AWE PLC offers a unique opportunity to build a career in a complex and vital environment. Apprentices will gain hands-on experience across Operations, Manufacturing, Science, and Engineering departments, supporting critical defence and security initiatives. Key responsibilities include learning production and process operations in a highly regulated setting, participating in practical laboratory analysis, administrative tasks, and understanding safety protocols. The role involves gaining insight into daily operations, planning, and safe systems of work. Specific activities may include scientific work like pulsed power trials. This is a physically demanding role requiring a medical assessment, including a BMI under 35 for respiratory protection use. Successful candidates will contribute to the UK's safety and security.

Entry requirements

• 5 GCSEs inc English and Maths (4/C or above). Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Problem solving skills, Administrative skills, Analytical skills, Team working, Health and Safety, Time Management.
