About the role

This Level 2 Adult Care Apprenticeship focuses on providing essential care to individuals in their own homes and supported living settings. Apprentices will learn to deliver safe, respectful, and person-centred care, assisting with personal care, daily living activities, mobility, meals, and hydration. Responsibilities include providing medication support where trained, encouraging independence and wellbeing, observing and reporting changes in health, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to care plans and company policies. The role also emphasizes compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control requirements, along with effective communication with service users, families, colleagues, and other professionals. Apprentices will complete formal training, attend learning sessions, and work towards achieving their qualification. The apprenticeship offers a potential full-time role upon completion, with pathways to a Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship and careers such as Care Assistant, Care Worker, or Support Worker.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English: A*-C/9-4 or Level 2 equivalent (Desired)
• GCSE Maths: A*-C/9-4 or Level 2 equivalent (Desired)
