Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship

About the role

Action for Care Ltd is seeking an Adult Care Worker to provide high-quality care to individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Behaviours that Challenge, and additional complex needs. This role involves maintaining high standards of professional care, participating in decision-making for service users, preparing reports, administering medication, and ensuring continuity of care through effective communication. The apprentice will also contribute to administrative practices, staff training, and community engagement. Desirable qualifications include relevant NVQs/Diplomas, knowledge of Learning Disabilities, Autism, Behaviours that Challenge, Person Centred Planning, Health and Safety, and a full driving licence. Essential requirements include strong communication skills, a commitment to quality of life for individuals, basic First Aid knowledge, understanding of medication administration, equal opportunities, and domestic skills.

Entry requirements

• GCSE Maths & English 4-9 (A*-C) desired. Good communication skills, attention to detail, organisation skills, team working, initiative, patience, caring.
