Childcare Apprenticeship – Level 3 Early Years Educator (GM)

About the role

This apprenticeship is ideal for someone with some prior knowledge and experience within a nursery or school setting, and especially someone passionate about childcare and early years, looking to further their career.

Key duties include providing excellent activities for children's learning and fun, supporting their development through planning and observations, preparing and maintaining the environment and resources, preparing food for meals, supporting children's self-help needs, being creative and enthusiastic, following safeguarding rules, and undertaking first aid training. You will also be expected to adhere to all health and hygiene requirements.

Upon completion, you will develop into a Level 3 practitioner with the potential for a permanent position. There are also opportunities to progress into other childcare-oriented roles such as social work, teaching, or managerial positions.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Strong communication, organisation, problem-solving, and teamwork skills are essential, along with creativity, initiative, patience, and a non-judgemental attitude.
