Customer Service Assistant Apprentice

About the role

Smethwick Pharmacy is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Customer Service Apprentice to join their pharmacy team. This role will involve a variety of customer service duties, providing essential support to operations while also interacting with patients. The apprentice will work on the front desk, issue prescriptions, handle queries and complaints, contact doctors, manage calls and emails, work on the till, and perform stock checks. The position requires the ability to speak and understand Punjabi. The apprenticeship is for 1 year and leads to a Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification. Functional Skills in maths and English will be provided if required. The role is based within the working environment with no day release. The company is a well-established pharmacy providing NHS and private services to the local community. The candidate must be flexible to work on a rota for both shift patterns. There is a possibility for growth and development within the business for the right candidate.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Strong communication, IT, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, number, analytical, team working, initiative, and patience skills are essential.
