About the role
Kepak are offering an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Level 2 Butcher Apprentice. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain insight into the food industry and learn and develop your knowledge and skills.
Duties include Knife Sharpening, Trimming bones, Trimming meat to correct Visual Lean (VL) standards, Trimming Primals (large pieces of meat) to specification under supervision, and learning all aspects of Food Quality Safety, Health & Safety within the meat processing industry.
This apprenticeship requires strong communication, attention to detail, organisation, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. GCSE English and Maths at grade 3 or above are essential. Applications are open to candidates aged 18 and over due to the nature of the role and abattoir work. Upon successful completion, there may be an opportunity for a permanent position.
