About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking apprentice to join our small, family-run butcher's shop. Specializing in traditional whole-carcass butchery, with a focus on high-quality beef and lamb often sourced from our own farm. This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to learn the comprehensive skills of full-carcass butchery within a supportive team. You will develop a deep understanding of customer needs, learn to recommend appropriate cuts, and advise on quantities. A key part of the role will involve contributing to the production and development of our popular value-added products, including our renowned handmade sausages. You will also gain experience in product knowledge, customer service, and all facets of a traditional butcher's business. This is a hands-on, varied role perfect for someone reliable, eager to learn, and proud of their work, with the potential to become an integral part of our growing family business.
Entry requirements
- GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above, strong communication, organisation, customer care, presentation, team working skills, and reliability.
