About the role
The University of Oxford is seeking an IT Solutions Apprentice to assist technical staff with system upgrades, migrations, implementations, and improvement projects. This role involves data collection and analysis, testing and implementing new IT systems, and supporting the day-to-day operation of business systems, applications, servers, networks and software platforms. The apprentice will maintain technical documentation, gain practical experience in Windows environments, and develop awareness of macOS, Linux, networking, cloud services and audio-visual technologies. A key aspect of the role is providing a helpful, professional, and customer-focused service to colleagues. Additionally, the apprentice will participate in public engagement activities and undertake mandatory training. The university is keen to recruit local talent and offers an opportunity to progress to a higher qualification.
