About the role

As an Apprentice Chef with Hungry Horse, you will have a passion for food and a desire to make the perfect dish every time. You will prepare, cook, and present food according to specifications and customer expectations. Maintaining high hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen will be crucial, as will clear communication with your team to deliver high-quality meals on time. You will also stay updated on new products, menus, and promotions.

This apprenticeship is delivered through work-based training, including face-to-face sessions and remote calls with a Lifetime Learner Coach every 6 weeks, supported by an in-workplace mentor. You will obtain Functional Skills in English and maths if needed, with reviews held every 12 weeks. Alongside your full-time role, you will join the Chef Academy, attending four masterclasses to gain expert knowledge and technical skills in different areas of cooking.
