About the role
As an Apprentice Chef with Greene King Pubs, you'll be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting food to meet specifications and customer expectations. You will maintain high hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen, communicate effectively with your team, and stay updated on new products and menus. This apprenticeship offers a mix of work-based training, including face-to-face sessions and remote calls with a Lifetime Learner Coach every 6 weeks. You will also receive support from an in-workplace mentor and have the opportunity to obtain Functional Skills in English and Maths if needed. As part of the Chef Academy, you'll attend four masterclasses to develop expert knowledge and technical skills in different areas of cooking.
