About the role

Lotus Home Care is seeking compassionate and reliable individuals to join their team as Apprentice Community Support Workers. This full-time, paid apprenticeship offers the opportunity to gain a recognized Level 3 qualification in Adult Care while building a rewarding career. As an apprentice, you will be trained to provide high-quality, person-centered care to clients in their own homes. Duties include creating and reviewing care plans, administering medication (when trained and authorized), liaising with families and healthcare professionals, recording health and well-being, supporting individuals with complex needs, and upholding safeguarding responsibilities. You will also attend training and complete off-job learning. This role prepares you for senior positions such as Lead Care Worker or Supervisor. Candidates must be able to drive, have access to a vehicle, and be at least 18 years old. A full DBS check will be required. Lotus Home Care has eleven offices across Yorkshire and the Humber and is committed to providing a positive experience for all service users.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths & English A*-C/9-4. Desired skills include communication, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, initiative, patience, and compassion. Ability to work independently is also important.
