About the role

An exciting opportunity for an apprentice dental nurse to join a friendly practice in Bristol. The role involves providing chairside support and high-level oral health care to patients. You will receive ongoing support, development, and training to equip you with the skills and knowledge required for a successful career in dental nursing. Daily activities include assisting dentists, patient care, surgery setup and cleaning, instrument sterilization, updating patient records, equipment maintenance, and preparing instruments and materials. The practice will support practical skills learning while Aspiration Training will provide online theory-based learning with regular teaching and 1-2-1 sessions. Off-the-job training will be provided during paid working hours. A passion for the dental sector is essential. A course of Hepatitis B vaccines and a clear enhanced DBS are required. Upon successful completion, you will be qualified to apply for professional registration as a dental nurse with the General Dental Council (GDC).

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4-9, strong communication, attention to detail, organization, customer care, team working, and non-judgmental skills.
