About the role

This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience supporting the Academy's IT systems, helping to maintain a secure and efficient digital learning environment for staff and students. Duties will include operating the IT helpdesk system, carrying out routine IT tasks, providing support for IT hardware, software, network and operating system problems, assisting in installing and maintaining the Academy’s hardware, and supporting teachers and pupils within classrooms. The role also involves providing ICT technical support for Academy events, supporting online learning systems, assisting with ICT technical requirements, carrying out routine maintenance tasks, ensuring backup procedures are followed, and monitoring information security threats. All staff are expected to promote and support the Christian character of the Academy, understand the concept of in loco parentis, take responsibility for their own professional development, engage in the appraisal process, and follow Trust policies for safeguarding.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4-9 or A*-C) and good communication, IT, attention to detail, organisation, problem-solving, presentation, number, and team working skills.
