About the role

As a Home Care Worker Apprentice, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes. You will promote dignity, independence, choice, privacy, and respect for all service users. This role involves supporting with personal care and daily living activities, carrying out light domestic duties, and assisting with collecting prescriptions and supporting medication administration where trained and authorised. You will accurately record care visits and daily notes using a rostering platform app, monitor and report changes in service users' health and wellbeing, and follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality policies. The apprenticeship includes participating in staff meetings, supervision sessions, and mandatory training, all while working towards achieving your apprenticeship qualification and developing your care skills. Upon successful completion, there is potential for full-time employment.
