About the role
As an apprentice, you'll gain hands-on experience working in an early years setting with Bal Krishna Nursery. You will assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities, promote learning through play in line with the EYFS framework, and create a safe and stimulating environment for children. Your responsibilities will include maintaining clean and safe learning spaces, following safeguarding and health & safety procedures, observing and monitoring children's progress, and contributing to their development plans. You will also communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and senior staff, participate in staff meetings and training, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism. The apprenticeship includes regular training with NEXTSTEP TRAINING LIMITED, covering the Level 3 Early Years Educator standard, potentially including Functional Skills in English and maths, and a paediatric first aid qualification. This apprenticeship offers a clear pathway to career progression within the Early Years sector, with opportunities to advance to Senior Practitioner, Deputy Nursery Manager, or Nursery Manager roles, and further qualifications like Level 4 and Level 5 diplomas.
