About the role
Support the delivery of age-appropriate activities for children aged birth to 5 years, promoting their learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This role involves assisting in creating a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment, building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. You will observe children's progress, contribute to developmental records, and share information with parents. The role includes supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development through play, assisting with personal care routines, and promoting independence and self-care skills. Responsibilities also involve assisting with meal and snack times, ensuring adherence to dietary requirements, promoting positive behaviour, and following safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies. Maintaining accurate records and a clean nursery environment are key. This apprenticeship offers a full-time position with career development encouraged.
