About the role
This Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship at Cheadle Academy offers a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team and work closely with students with special educational needs. You will support the SENCO in coordinating and delivering interventions, both in the classroom and through targeted programs. The role involves supporting teaching and learning, student wellbeing, and personal care needs, promoting high expectations, and contributing to individual support plans. You will also assist teaching staff with lesson preparation, record-keeping, and administrative tasks. This apprenticeship provides comprehensive training, including mentoring, shadowing, and specialist coaching, focusing on child development theories, learning styles, and assessment methods. Upon completion, potential career progression includes HLTA, Level 5 Specialist Teaching Assistant, or full Teaching qualifications.
