Apprentice Teaching Assistant Level 3

About the role

Briarwood is seeking to appoint Teaching Assistants at their special school. This role involves supporting pupils with severe and profound learning difficulties, including those with challenging behaviours and on the Autistic Spectrum. The apprentice will work under the guidance of teaching staff to provide direct support for individual pupils or groups, assisting with learning activities, reinforcing routines, and contributing to a positive learning environment. Key duties include reporting behaviour observations, facilitating children's development through activities, supervising behaviour, and preparing/displaying learning materials. The apprenticeship includes a planned induction and ongoing support from a dedicated team. Entry requirements

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Essential skills include communication, customer care, initiative, being non-judgemental, and patience.
