About the role
St Stephens Primary School is seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant Apprentice to support teachers and pupils. This role involves assisting with learning and development, preparing resources, supporting classroom activities, encouraging positive behaviour, and promoting a safe and inclusive environment. The apprentice will work alongside qualified staff to help individual pupils and small groups develop confidence and independence. Responsibilities include preparing and organising classroom materials, supporting curriculum activities, and assisting with classroom routines and displays. The apprentice will also learn about safeguarding procedures and pupil progress monitoring. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there is potential for a teaching assistant position at the school.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths grade 4 or above. Essential skills include communication, IT, attention to detail, organisation, problem-solving, administrative skills, and teamwork.
