About the role
This apprenticeship offers an opportunity to provide essential learning support to students with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), particularly those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The role focuses on helping students develop independence and achieve their full potential. Key duties include developing and implementing Additional Learning Support (ALS) Plans, providing 1:1 or small group support, assisting with study skills, offering personal care as required, collaborating with teaching staff to adapt learning materials, and maintaining records of support provision. The apprenticeship also includes generic duties related to safeguarding, college policies, and professional development. Upon successful completion, there will be opportunities for career progression within the college.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English C/4 and Maths C/4. Communication skills, IT skills, non-judgemental attitude, patience.
