About the role
The Governors of St Anne's Copp Church Of England Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated staff team. This role involves working as part of a supportive team to provide learning opportunities for pupils with complex needs. Duties include preparing resources, supporting pupils, assisting with individual and small-group learning, and encouraging communication and independence. The apprentice will gain experience observing and working alongside experienced staff, gradually taking responsibility for activities. There will be opportunities to work within the wider mainstream classroom, supporting pupils during lessons and developing an understanding of the wider TA role. Regular guidance, reflection, and feedback will be provided to help the apprentice build confidence and develop practical skills to work more independently. Upon completion, the apprentice will have developed the knowledge, skills, and confidence to work effectively as a Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils with a range of needs and promoting inclusion and positive learning experiences. This provides a strong foundation for a career in education.
Entry requirements
- GCSE grade 4 or above in English and Maths. Communication skills, Organisation skills, Team working, Non judgemental.
