About the role
This apprenticeship offers a funded route to becoming a qualified Early Years Educator. The role involves working in a childcare setting, planning and leading learning activities for children aged 0-5. Duties include daily care, managing personal care, supervising play, delivering EYFS activities, observing child milestones, updating digital learning journals, and participating in staff handovers. The employer is seeking candidates with a passion for working with children, patience, and who live close to the setting. An enhanced DBS check is mandatory. Career progression opportunities include becoming a Qualified Early Years Educator or Room Leader.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Essential soft skills include communication, IT, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, presentation, administration, numeracy, analytical skills, logical thinking, teamwork, creativity, initiative, being non-judgemental, patience, and physical fitness.
