About the role
This Foundation Apprenticeship offers a fantastic hands-on start to an engineering career with EMPIRE HIRE GROUP LIMITED in Dunstable. You will gain practical experience by assisting engineers with the inspection, servicing, and repair of powered access equipment, including scissor lifts and boom lifts. The role involves learning essential diagnostic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical skills, supporting LOLER checks, and ensuring a safe workshop environment. You will also be responsible for completing job sheets and inspection records. A key requirement for this role is access to your own vehicle due to the company's location. Upon successful completion, there are opportunities for progression to qualified engineer roles, with potential for further training and development within the company.
Entry requirements
- Level 4-9 English GCSE, Level 4-9 maths GCSE. Aged 16-21, or 22-24 with EHC plan, in or have been in care, or in or have been in prison.
