About the role

The RAC, in partnership with North Humberside Motor Trades Group Training Association (Motor Trades GTA), offers an exciting apprenticeship for aspiring roadside patrols and mobile mechanics. This role involves attending real-life breakdown situations and providing mobile mechanic services, going beyond traditional training to develop a well-rounded skill set. Responsibilities include providing roadside assistance, performing diagnostics, and carrying out repairs, all while effectively communicating with members. You will also complete services, repairs, and diagnostics at customers' homes or workplaces. The apprenticeship provides access to a fully equipped, state-of-the-art company vehicle and a complete tool kit.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above (or equivalent), strong communication, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, analytical, and logical skills. Patience, initiative, and physical fitness are also required.
