About the role

The RAC, in partnership with North Humberside Motor Trades Group Training Association, is offering an exciting apprenticeship program for aspiring roadside patrols and mobile mechanics. This program provides hands-on experience in attending breakdown situations and performing mobile mechanic services, going beyond traditional mechanic training. Apprentices will learn to provide roadside assistance, conduct diagnostics, and carry out repairs, while also developing strong communication skills with members. The role involves completing services, repairs, and diagnostics at customers' homes or workplaces. Successful candidates will be provided with a fully equipped, state-of-the-art company vehicle and tool kit. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a well-rounded skill set in the automotive industry with a trusted national brand.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths grade 4 or above (or equivalent). Strong communication, attention to detail, organization, customer care, problem-solving, analytical, and logical skills are essential. Must be able to demonstrate initiative, patience, and physical fitness.
