About the role
An exciting opportunity to take your first steps toward a career in education as a Teaching Assistant. You will be an integral part of the staff, responsible for fostering an engaging learning environment and helping our pupils achieve.
The role involves assisting teachers in providing a learning environment to support the development and educational needs of pupils, encouraging independent learning, ensuring safety and welfare, and supporting the inclusion of pupils in all aspects of school life. The apprentice will be expected to be flexible and provide assistance wherever needed, which may include working on a 1:1 basis or with different groups of pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, in any area of the school. Duties include working with pupils under teacher direction, helping them access the curriculum, observing performance and providing feedback, contributing to the planning and evaluation of learning activities, preparing learning environments, providing physical care, and undertaking first aid training. Experience with intimate care may be required.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or equivalent.
