About the role
This is an apprenticeship opportunity for an Apprentice Butcher at Cranswick PLC in Hull. The role involves working as part of a busy butchery team, learning specialist knife skills, meat preparation, trimming, and cutting techniques. Apprentices will follow strict food safety and hygiene standards, gain knowledge of product quality, traceability, and production processes, working towards a Level 2 Butcher Apprenticeship. Duties include preparing and packing products, checking quality, maintaining a clean work environment, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced production setting. The apprenticeship is for 1 Year 6 Months. Upon completion, there may be opportunities to progress to a Level 3 qualification and potentially secure a full-time position.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 3/D or above. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, organisational skills, initiative, and physical fitness are required.
