About the role
This Level 3 Youth Work Apprenticeship with Young Gloucestershire offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people. You will undertake a one-to-one youth work support role, managing a caseload of young people requiring assistance with mental health, mentoring, and other youth work interventions. The apprenticeship includes a program of study at Level 3, focusing on building relationships with young people and their communities, working confidently both individually and in groups, and demonstrating enthusiasm, integrity, and professionalism. You will gain a deep understanding of the barriers young people face and learn how to address them effectively, supporting recruitment to programs and ensuring young people's voices are heard. Key responsibilities include identifying and overcoming challenges, attending meetings to facilitate positive outcomes, providing advice and guidance, and building strong relationships with young people, agencies, and the YG team. The role also involves developing resources, supporting mental health, maintaining a quality service, regular reporting, conducting risk assessments, ensuring safeguarding, and utilizing computerized recording systems.
