About the role
The role involves laying bricks and blocks, setting out, mixing mortar, using hand tools and checking levels to create quality work to specification. Bricklayers work outdoors with site teams, following strict health, safety and sustainability standards, with strong demand across the industry.
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. Your earnings can increase over time with an apprenticeship, with ongoing career development. An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Off-the-job training will follow the time allocations outlined in the Occupational Standard.
