About the role
This apprenticeship is ideal for someone with some prior knowledge and experience within a nursery or school setting, and especially someone passionate about childcare and early years, looking to further their career.
Key duties include providing engaging activities that support learning and development, preparing and maintaining the environment and resources, preparing food for children, supporting their self-help needs, and adhering to safeguarding and health and hygiene rules. The apprenticeship also involves undertaking first aid and other relevant training to meet changing standards and legal requirements.
Upon completion, you will become a Level 3 practitioner with potential for a permanent position. Further career progression opportunities include roles in social work, teaching, and management within the childcare sector.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Strong communication, organisation, problem-solving, teamwork, creativity, initiative, and patience are essential.
