Teaching Assistant Apprentice

About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to become a Teaching Assistant at Monkspath School. As an apprentice, you will provide crucial support to teaching staff in the classroom, contributing to the development and implementation of strategies to enhance pupils' learning and progress. You will work with children of all abilities, including those with additional needs, to ensure they have access to an engaging curriculum and thrive in a positive learning environment.

Key duties include assisting with pupil learning, adapting work as needed, supporting assessment and recording of progress, delivering learning activities to groups and individuals, organising resources, promoting inclusive education, assisting with behaviour management, and liaising with teachers and school leaders. The role also involves undertaking playground duties and attending training and meetings. Compliance with child protection, health, safety, and confidentiality procedures is essential.
