About the role
We are seeking a creative and inclusive Specialist Teaching Assistant Apprentice to further develop expertise in education. This role involves supporting a class teacher in assisting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and/or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to learn and thrive. Responsibilities include supporting teachers in planning and adapting learning for key pupils, aiding pupils in understanding and achieving learning objectives, and assisting with their assessment. Specialist Teaching Assistants are expected to be good role models, demonstrate honesty and integrity, participate in team meetings, and contribute to planning and class activities. Promoting Fundamental British Values and positive behaviours is crucial for improved pupil progress and development.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Mathematics at grade 4 or above.
