About the role
The Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner (EYLP) Apprenticeship is designed for experienced practitioners in early years settings who wish to take on a leadership role. This apprenticeship focuses on operational leadership for the care, learning, and development of young children. Key duties include providing excellent care, supporting children's learning and development, leading daily routines, promoting diversity and equality, ensuring safeguarding compliance, reflecting on and improving practice, and leading other practitioners. This role is equivalent to a foundation degree and can lead to further studies such as a top-up degree and Early Years Teacher Status. The training involves a blended approach with virtual classrooms, webinars, and work-based tasks, with one-to-one support from a dedicated tutor.
