About the role

This is an opportunity to join Childbase Partnership as an apprentice at their Maples Day Nursery in Winchester. As a Childcare apprentice (Level 3), you will work as part of a team to create and maintain safe and supportive learning environments, plan and implement opportunities to enhance children's development, and complete observations linked to the early years curriculum. You will interact positively with nursery users, partner with colleagues and parents to meet children's individual needs, adhere to nursery routines and policies, and manage your time effectively to submit coursework. Upon successful completion, you will gain a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, functional skills in maths and English if required, and a paediatric first aid qualification. This apprenticeship offers valuable practical experience with children aged 0-5 years, 'off-the-job' learning time, and support from an in-house trainer/assessor. Mandatory group training sessions are held monthly with travel costs covered. A permanent contract is offered subject to successful qualification, leading to a role as a qualified Nursery Nurse. Future progression opportunities include Team Leader, Deputy Manager, and Nursery Manager roles. Entry requirements

  • Desired / GCSE / English / 4. Desired / GCSE / maths / 4. Communication skills, Team working, Creative, Initiative, Non judgemental, Patience. Must be able to evidence NI number and right to work in the UK, ideally have photographic ID, access to a computer, been resident in the UK for at least 3 years, and comfortable travelling to training sessions in Newport Pagnell.
