About the role

Support the classroom teacher in providing high-quality, personalised learning and care for young people aged 11-19 with complex learning difficulties at Regency High School. The role involves helping pupils overcome learning, physical, communication, and emotional challenges through patient, encouraging, and inclusive support. Duties include supporting children's learning and development, providing tailored support to individuals and small groups, assisting teachers with lessons and activities, monitoring pupil progress, supporting positive behaviour, preparing learning resources, and assisting with personal care and welfare needs. You will also help implement professional recommendations, promote a safe and inclusive environment, work closely with various stakeholders, and assist with classroom routines and activities. We are looking for individuals with strong communication and interpersonal skills, a positive and empathetic attitude, who are organised, proactive, and eager to learn. A role model who values confidentiality and professionalism, and is passionate about working in a SEND environment, is essential.
