About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT apprentice to join our dynamic technology department. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the technology manager in handling IT issues and projects. You will be involved in the day-to-day management of the IT within the business.

Key duties include supporting communication with our Managed Service Provider, logging and escalating IT issues, tracking outstanding support requests, managing supplier performance, and supporting users with their IT needs. You will also be involved in maintaining documentation, assisting with security activities and recommendations, implementing security improvements, and evaluating/testing AI tools and automation opportunities. The role also requires reporting suspected security incidents, identifying system/process improvements, and supporting internal projects. You will act as a liaison between technical suppliers and business users.

Experience in using computers and other technologies, being personable, honest, and demonstrating integrity are essential. We are looking for someone proactive, a strong team player who can problem-solve, ask for guidance when needed, help others, and go the extra mile. Good timekeeping and resilience are also important.
