About the role

Evergreen School is seeking a Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join their team. This role involves contributing to curriculum planning, assisting in lesson delivery, and supporting pupils' learning and development. Key duties include aiding with ICT in learning, supporting pupils during independent and group work, and promoting inclusion and independence. The apprentice will work with children with complex special needs, monitoring their care, safety, and welfare, and supporting their personal, social, and emotional development. Occasional support for the whole class, including story reading and physical activities, is also expected. The apprenticeship offers a pathway to potential full-time employment upon successful completion.

Entry requirements

• GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 or above. Desired skills include communication, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative skills, teamwork, creativity, initiative, being non-judgemental, patient, reliable, and flexible.
