About the role
Are you passionate about food, eager to learn and ready to start an exciting career in hospitality? At Summerfield Care Home, they are looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Commis Chef to join their busy and friendly kitchen team.
Duties include preparing and cooking appetising, nutritious meals for residents, ensuring meals are prepared safely and meet dietary needs. You will also be responsible for basic food ordering, stock monitoring, maintaining accurate records of cleaning schedules and temperature checks, and liaising with other staff regarding meal requirements. Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety is paramount. This role offers the potential for full-time employment upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Entry requirements
- GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above, or Level 2 equivalent. Strong communication, attention to detail, organizational, customer care, problem-solving, presentation, and teamwork skills are also desired.
