About the role

This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience supporting the Academy's IT systems, helping to maintain a secure and efficient digital learning environment for staff and students. Duties will include operating the IT helpdesk system, carrying out routine IT tasks, providing support for IT hardware, software, network, and operating system problems, assisting in installing and maintaining the Academy's hardware, assisting teachers and pupils within the classrooms, providing ICT technical support for Academy events, supporting the use of online learning systems and platforms, assisting with the support and maintenance of ICT technical requirements, carrying out routine maintenance tasks, ensuring backup procedures are followed, and assisting in monitoring and identifying threats to information security. All staff are expected to promote and support the distinctive Christian character of the Academy and understand the concept of in loco parentis.

Entry requirements

  • GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4-9 (A*-C). Strong communication skills, IT skills, attention to detail, organisation skills, problem-solving skills, presentation skills, number skills, and teamwork are essential.
