About the role

Perrott Hill School is seeking a warm and enthusiastic apprentice Teaching Assistant to join their Pre-Prep team. The apprentice will work alongside experienced teachers and receive training from The Side by Side Partnership Limited. Key duties include supporting learning in class, in small groups, and one-to-one, preparing resources, assisting with assessments and record-keeping, and supervising break times and after-school care. The role also involves assisting with Forest School, PE, swimming, and trips, while adhering to safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality requirements. This apprenticeship offers a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification with potential career progression to Higher Level Teaching Assistant roles, learning support, or even teacher training. The school is a growing independent day and boarding prep school with a supportive environment and opportunities for professional development.
