Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship

About the role

Perrott Hill School is seeking a warm and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner apprentice to join their Little Pippins Nursery team. The apprentice will work alongside experienced practitioners and teachers, gaining hands-on experience while training with Side by Side. Duties include planning and delivering play-based activities aligned with the EYFS, supporting children's learning and wellbeing, assisting with daily routines, and maintaining open communication with parents. Safeguarding, health, and safety are paramount. Upon successful completion, apprentices will achieve the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualification, with potential progression to Level 3 and the possibility of a permanent role at the growing school. The school offers a supportive environment, in-house training, CPD, and a contributory pension scheme.

Entry requirements

• Desired / GCSE / English / 4. Desired / GCSE / Maths / 4. Communication skills, IT skills, Organisation skills, Number skills, Creative, Initiative, Ability to follow instructions. Successful applicants must be able to obtain an enhanced DBS check with barred-list information, provide satisfactory references and complete all pre-appointment safer recruitment checks.
